Her experience with casual daywear also means she knows which alterations shortcuts will fit your budget. Custom-designed garments are available to one client per month.
While her fashion designs have been published in over a dozen print and digital magazines, her true passion is repair and custom creation of military, law enforcement, and outdoor gear. Bragg/Pope AFB area, plus mail-in work from all over the US and deployed locations. Mia also takes design and prototyping work for cut and sew manufacturing and SOCOM TE submission.
Her Southern Pines, North Carolina shop currently has a staff of two additional seamstresses and one tailor, all with over 20 years of professional experience. This tiny team sees clients for alterations and general sewing, and assists Mia with custom garment work.
While individual sewing lessons are not given at this time, the two-year apprenticeship program was designed provide active duty spouses a highly-employable skill to carry on to their family's next duty station. It's spot is currently held by a deployed National Guard 1st Lt.
