The boss(y) lady has been sewing for over 30 years, and is a PSDA Certified Master Tailor. While her fashion designs have been published in over a dozen print and digital magazines, her true passion is repair and custom creation of military, law enforcement, and outdoor gear. Her professional resume includes big industry names like the Tactical Tailor custom shop and Mystery Ranch, as well as up-and-coming brands Spiritus Systems and ALCOR-USA. https://www.linkedin.com/in/mkschwarz
On "Tactical Tuesdays" you can find her hiding behind a mess of military and law enforcement gear, repairing kit for the Ft. Bragg/Pope AFB area, as well as mail-in work from all over the US and deployed locations.
When not working on heavy duty items, Mia's an expert with men's and women's formal wear, and can help perfect your look for any occasion. Her Southern Pines, North Carolina shop currently has one apprentice (1st Lt. National Guardsman), and four part-time sewers (two retired Air Force spouses, one active duty Army spouse, and one active duty Marine spouse.) This tiny team sees clients for custom garments, alterations, and general sewing. The apprenticeship program provides active duty spouses a highly-employable skill to carry on to their family's next duty station.
